WE ARE COMPLETELY PREPARED TO SAFELY WELCOME YOU BACK TO ARMOR ATHLETICS!!
IT’S TIME! The State of Washington has allowed us to start running INDOOR classes effective immediately!
We are so thankful for all of you and your continued support of our community. We are so excited to reunite and work towards building a stronger community than ever before! Our staff has worked tirelessly to safely and effectively transition you back to the gym through our program, Armor Rebuild. We have closely examined the regulations set forth by the State of Washington to make sure we are prepared to adhere to guidelines set forth by the state.
We’ve outlined EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW on this page. Please read through these points so you can better understand our new policies and the precautions we are taking to help you safely return to the gym. For those of you who plan to remain home, we will continue to offer “Armor at Home” to support you until you are ready to return to the gym.If you have not already been monitoring the COVID-19 we recommend you do so from the Centers for Disease Control, the State Department, and the Washington Department of Public Health.
HOW TO RETURN TO ARMOR ATHLETICS
Under phase 2, Armor can begin operating for personal training and groups of 5 or less per instructor and less than 30% occupancy based on Fire Code.
This has allowed us to open with classes of 5 people. Weightlifting and CrossFit are operating simultaneously, each with 5 people training at a time.
You will have 1 instructor for a class size of 5 people, you will get more coaching, than ever before.
PERSONAL WORK STATIONS:
You will have your own equipment and other gear in your personal workout station which will provide ample workout space for you, and you alone.
If you are sick or display symptoms of COVID-19, you must stay home.
CDC COVID-19 Symptoms/Symptoms of Coronavirus Guidelines: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html
Follow social distancing protocols by remaining 6 feet apart from other members and staff.
PREPARING FOR CLASS:
Classes are 45 minutes in length. This will be the perfect time frame for Armor Rebuild! Our program is set in place to gradually build you all up to full training volume. Armor Rebuild will likely be wrapping up as we are able to enter phase 3.
Sign the new Armor Athletics Liability Waiver. Each member has received an updated liability waiver through Triib.
If you plan to come back to classes for phase 2, please return any equipment you borrowed during the closure.
Register for class on Triib at least 30 minutes prior to class. If you register and then later realize you cannot attend, please remove yourself from the class at least 30 minutes before the start of class.
There is a “Passing Period” between classes to ensure distancing. Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your class start time to adhere to state regulations and allow Armor staff to properly clean and sanitize between classes.
Due to class sizes being small, and in high demand, we have advance reservations. Spots must be reserved at least 30 minutes prior to class, and there will be a cancellation/no show fee of $7.00.
A staff member will check you in to class upon arrival.
PARTICIPATING IN CLASS:
The lounge area, cubbies and showers are not available for use. Please take your gym bag to your designated work out space. We will be adhering to the guidelines provided by the state for gyms to open; expect some amenities to be reintroduced in Phase 3.
At the end of class, thoroughly clean and disinfect all equipment prior to departure. Clean all equipment using a cleaning rag and disinfecting solution. Please wipe down equipment, then spray and let the solution air dry. Doing so will help keep the Armor Staff safe while cleaning and disinfecting the facility after classes.
Leave no later than 15 minutes after class ends to adhere to state regulations and allow Armor staff to properly clean and sanitize before the next class.
High risk clients are not permitted as part of Phase 2 re-opening. High risk clients include people over the age of 65, people with serious underlying medical conditions like chronic lung disease, moderate to severe asthma and people who are immunocompromised.
You still have the option to rent out equipment if, and only if, you do not feel safe attending classes.
LIMITED FACILITY CAPACITY:
No kids, friends, spouses, extra people, or dogs allowed in the gym at this time to maximize space and safety.
Please check out our new schedule:
All high touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized between each class by Armor Staff.
We have consulted with Chicago Restoration experts who have been tasked with developing preventative protocols specific to cleaning and disinfecting the virus causing COVID-19. Armor has purchased the same medical grade disinfectants these contractors are using. This disinfectant is NOT a respiratory or skin irritant. It will be used on all equipment and surfaces throughout every day and after every use. You can read more about this product here: https://www.jondon.com/concrobium-broad-spectrum-disinfectant-2.html
A power scrubber is being utilized with the disinfectant to clean the entire gym floor throughout each day.
WE ARE CLOSELY MONITORING THE UPDATES FROM THE CDC, WHO, AND OUR FEDERAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT REGARDING COVID-19.
We will update you all as more information becomes available. We are committed to providing a safe environment, and above all else, remaining a strong community. Thank you for supporting us in this! The most important information will be conveyed through email so please monitor regularly. If you have any questions or concerns we have not addressed please reach out to us!
